Please take notice pursuant to local law, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Fayette, Seneca County, NY will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 6 PM at the Town Office Building, 1439 Yellow Tavern Road, Waterloo, NY 13165. The board will hear the request of:
Tristan Glanz, of 743 Yale Station Rd, Fayette, NY, Tax Map # 25-2-11, regarding an application to build a 14’ X 40’ seasonal cabin with a covered porch and an 8’ X 20’ shed.
Persons wishing to appear at the hearing may do so in person or by other representation. Communications in writing in relation hereto may be filed with the Board, or at such hearing.
NOTICE OF MEETING TIME CHANGE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Fayette scheduled for September 10, 2026, will begin at 6:50 p.m. for the purpose of entering into Executive Session.
The regular portion of the Town Board meeting will immediately follow the Executive Session.

LEGAL NOTICE
ATTENTION FAYETTE RESIDENTS:
There has been a bit of confusion regarding the public hearing and meeting time for the meeting on June 11th. We would like to provide the following for clarification, if you have any questions, feel free to contact any board member or the town office.
On June 11th the town board and the planning board will be holding a special meeting at 6:00 p.m. at the town office. That meeting will conclude at 6:45 p.m. .
The public hearing regarding the highway superintendent position will begin at 6:50 p.m. at the Town Hall. The question before the town board and the subject of the hearing is whether the town board should hold a referendum (public vote) on Election Day (November 2026) regarding changing the highway superintendent position from elected to appointed effective January 1st, 2029. The town board will NOT we deciding whether the position should be elected or appointed. The town board will be voting on letting the public decide.
The regular Town board meeting will begin immediately following the closure of the public hearing. All are welcome to attend. Please use this link to access a Questions and Answers Sheet regarding this matter.

The Town of Fayette is located in the center of the Central Finger Lakes region, between Seneca and Cayuga Lakes. It is bordered to the north by the Seneca-Cayuga Canal and lies along the western border of the county, southeast of Geneva, New York. Fayette was part of the Central New York Military Tract and was first settled around 1790. The town was established from part of the Town of Romulus in 1800 as the “Town of Washington,” but it adopted its current name, Fayette, in 1803.
